The Forgotten Playground, LLC, Tommy Castillo Studios, Tommy and Sammy Castillo Studios, and finally…Castillo Studios; whatever its name, it’s always reflected the talent and personality of the person (or people) who run it. Having first been run by industry legend Tommy Castillo until his passing in 2017, Castillo Studios is now helmed by his wife, and powerhouse in her own right, Samantha.
In early 2019, Sammy came to terms with her position as the new artistic and driving force of the business finally stepping out of the shadow cast by Tommy’s 30+year career. Once again it changed names for the final time to Castillo Studios. While a simple name at first, it is a name heavy with over 46 combined years of experience, memories, love, loss, death, rebirth, and ultimately renewal.
